Adding community members to a job
Put someone from My Community straight into a job's pipeline, then message them from their application.
Someone you met for an earlier job may be right for a new one. You can add anyone in your community to an open job without waiting for them to apply.
Add someone to a job from My Community
- Go to My Community and click the person's row.
- In their record, click Add to a job.
- Under Job, pick the job. Only published jobs with a pipeline are listed. A job they are already on shows Already on this job and can't be picked.
- Under Start in, choose the stage. It starts on the job's first stage.
- Add a Note (optional) for your team, such as why they're a fit.
- Click Add to job.
They join the job's pipeline right away and the record switches to the Applications tab. Click Open pipeline in the confirmation to go to the job's board.
Note: Nothing is sent to the person when you add them, unless the stage has an automatic message.
Add someone from a job's Sourcing tab
You can also start from the job. Open the job, click Sourcing, then My Community. Click Add to job on any row. They go into the job's first stage. See Matches from your community.
Messaging someone from your community
A community record has no Messages tab. Every message belongs to an application. To reach someone:
- Add them to the job you want to talk to them about.
- Open their card on that job's pipeline.
- Use the Messages tab on their application.
Whether you can text them depends on their text opt-in. See Texting and emailing candidates.
When you can't add someone
- The button is greyed out. The person's status is Do not contact.
- A warning says they're on your do-not-hire list. Take them off the list first. See The do-not-hire list.
- You don't see Add to a job. Your role can't add candidates to jobs. By default, owners, admins and recruiters can. If you don't see it, ask your agency owner.
- No jobs are listed. You have no published job with a pipeline yet. Publish a job first.
