Where jobs are posted
Where your published jobs appear, how to tell if a posting is live, and how job boards get set up.
When you publish a job, it's posted on the CareCommunity job board, on your career page and on your job boards. Applicants from any of them land in the job's pipeline, and their card shows where they came from, such as Job board or Careers page.
The CareCommunity job board
Every open job appears on the public CareCommunity job board, with your agency's name and logo. Care professionals find it there and apply with their CareCommunity profile. This works from the moment you publish, even before your job boards are set up.
Your career page
Once your agency's career page is live, every published job is on it too, and applicants there don't need an account. See Your career page.
Your job boards
Once your agency's job boards are set up, each published job also goes to the job boards. New and edited jobs post within a minute of publishing.
To see where a job stands, open it. Next to its status you'll see one of these:
- Not posted to job boards: your job boards aren't set up yet, or the job is paused or closed.
- Posting…: it's on its way.
- Free job boards off: it's posted, but Distribute to free job boards is off in the job's Settings tab.
- Live on the free job boards: it's on the free job boards too. New jobs go to the free job boards unless you turn Distribute to free job boards off in the job's Settings tab. See Job settings.
- Posting failed: the posting wasn't accepted. Edit the job and save it again. If it keeps failing, contact CareCommunity support.
When a job is published and your career page is live, click Open the job page to see it on your career page as applicants do. The link doesn't show while your career page is hidden. See Your career page.
Important: A posting needs a city and state. If a job has neither, and its ZIP can't be looked up, posting fails.
Pausing or closing a job takes it down from all of these places, your career page included. Resuming puts it back.
How job boards get set up
The CareCommunity team sets up job boards for your agency. There's nothing for you to click.
To check where it stands, go to Settings and choose Job boards. Under Posting account you'll see Not set up yet, Setting up, Connected or Needs attention. When it says Connected, you're set.
If it shows Needs attention, or stays on Not set up yet longer than you expected, contact CareCommunity support.
Once you're connected, jobs you've already published are sent out too.
Note: Until your job boards are set up, published jobs stay on the CareCommunity board only, and you can't message candidates.
The Job boards page needs permission to manage settings, which owners and admins have by default. If you don't see it in Settings, ask your agency owner.
