Unlocking network members

Bring a caregiver from the broader CareCommunity network into your community and a job's pipeline in one step.

When you find someone promising under Broader community, unlock them. One click adds them to your community with their full profile and contact details, and puts them straight into the job's pipeline. There is no fee per unlock, and you don't wait for the caregiver to say yes.

Unlock a caregiver

  1. Open the job, click Sourcing, then Broader community.
  2. On the caregiver's card, click Unlock.
  3. Check the confirmation. It tells you how many unlocks you'll have left this month.
  4. Click Unlock.

Right away, the person:

  • joins My Community with Unlocked as their source
  • shows their full CareCommunity profile, last name and contact details
  • goes into the first stage of this job's pipeline

Click Open pipeline in the confirmation to go to the job's board.

Your monthly allowance

Each unlock uses one of your agency's unlocks for the month. The number depends on your plan:

PlanUnlocks per month
Silver10
Platinum25

The header on Broader community shows how many you have left, for example 7 of 10 unlocks left this month, and the date the count resets. Your month runs from your agency's start date. Unused unlocks don't carry over. When you run out, the Unlock button is greyed out until the next month starts.

If your plan changes mid-month, the new allowance applies at once. Unlocks you've already used this month still count.

Who can unlock

Owners, admins and recruiters can unlock by default. Viewers can't. If you can't unlock, the page says so. Ask an owner or admin.

What the caregiver sees

If the caregiver has an email address on file, CareCommunity emails them to say your agency added them to its community and can now see their full profile and contact details. The email comes from CareCommunity, not from your agency. It includes a link where they can stop sharing their profile with you at any time. They don't need to do anything.

When you can't unlock someone

You'll see a message if the person:

  • is already in your community. Find them under My Community.
  • stopped sharing their profile with your agency
  • has worked for your agency recently
  • is no longer available on the network
