Profile sharing and consent
Why some people show limited details, how a candidate shares their CareCommunity profile with you, and who other agencies can see.
Many people who come to you already have a CareCommunity profile of their own, with their experience, availability, languages and more. That profile belongs to them. You see it only once they share it with your agency.
Why a profile shows limited details
If someone hasn't shared their profile with you, their CareCommunity tab says No CareCommunity profile shared. You still see what came in with their application or what your team added, such as the name, email, phone and home address they gave you. On their application, contact details show once they share their profile with you.
The ATS shows the same message whether the person hasn't answered yet, said no, or isn't on CareCommunity at all. This is on purpose. It keeps anyone from learning who has a CareCommunity profile.
When a profile is shared automatically
You see the full profile straight away when:
- your agency created the record: an import of someone new to CareCommunity, or someone who joined CareCommunity by applying to your job
- the person applied while signed in to CareCommunity
- you unlocked them from Broader community
- the person already approved your agency
How a candidate grants access
Sometimes an application or import matches an existing CareCommunity profile by email, or by a phone number that only one profile has. Then CareCommunity, not your agency, contacts the person with a link. Matches by email get an email, and matches by phone get a text.
- The link opens a page that shows exactly what your agency would see, including their home address if it's on their profile.
- They choose Share profile or Don't share.
- If they don't answer, they get one reminder after 3 days. The link works for 14 days.
If they choose Don't share, you keep what came in with the application, and their application goes ahead as normal. They can change their mind at any time from Who can see your profile in CareCommunity. That includes stopping sharing after an unlock.
You can't send or resend this request yourself.
Once they share, you see the home address on their profile instead of the one from their application. See Hidden contact details.
What other agencies see
Your notes, tags, files, statuses and history are never shown to other agencies, and nobody's home address is shown on the broader community. People your agency brings in by import aren't shown to other agencies on the broader community. The same goes for people who first joined CareCommunity by applying to one of your jobs. Either can change if the person later signs in to CareCommunity themselves.
