Reading ad performance
What the numbers on the Job Ads page and a job's Paid ads tab mean.
The Job Ads page and each job's Paid ads tab show how your budget groups are doing. For spend and results over a date range, use the Paid ads dashboard in Analytics.
A billing week runs Monday to Sunday. "This week" always means the current Monday-to-Sunday week.
The tiles on Job Ads
- Managed budget: the weekly budgets of your running groups added together. Paused groups aren't counted.
- Budget groups: how many groups you have, and how many are paused.
- Jobs advertised: how many jobs are in your running groups.
- Applicants from ads: applicants to your advertised jobs from the paid boards since each job joined its group. Underneath is a rough estimate of applicants a week at your current budget.
Each group's card
- $ / wk: the group's weekly budget.
- est. … applicants a week: a rough guide based on the budget, not a promise.
- spent this week: what the group has spent so far this week. It appears once the listings are live, and never goes above the weekly budget.
- applicants so far: applicants from the paid boards across the group's jobs.
The coloured bar and the rows under it show how the budget is split. Each row has the job's share, its dollars a week and its applicants. With Maximize applications, the split starts even. Once this week's spend comes in, it shows where spend actually went. With Keep it balanced, every job keeps an even share.
A job's Paid ads tab
Open the job, then Sourcing → Paid ads. The tab label says Live, Paused or Off.
- The large figure is this job's dollars a week and its percent of the group's budget.
- spent on this job this week and applicants so far are for this job only.
- Clicks, Applications and Cost / app are this job's ad results for the current week. Cost / app is spend divided by applications. They appear once there are results to show.
These ad results update once a day, so today's clicks show up tomorrow.
Note: Applicants so far counts everyone who applied to the job through the paid boards since it joined the group. Applications comes from the ad reports. The two can differ.
Tip: Clicks, Applications and Cost / app need the View analytics permission. If you can't open Analytics, you won't see them here either.
