How paid sourcing works
Set one weekly budget for one or more jobs, and the CareCommunity recruiting team writes and places the paid listings for you.
Paid sourcing puts your jobs in front of more people on paid job boards. You set a weekly budget and pick the jobs. The CareCommunity recruiting team writes the ads, places them, and adjusts them each week. You don't write or manage any ads yourself.
You'll find it in two places:
- Job Ads in the top navigation shows all of your agency's paid ads.
- A job's Sourcing tab, under Paid ads, shows that one job's ads.
Turning job ads on
Job ads are off until CareCommunity turns them on for your agency. Until then, Job Ads shows what paid sourcing does, with a Request to turn on job ads button. An owner or admin clicks it, and our team gets in touch to set it up. Once it's on, the Job Ads page shows your budget groups, and the job's Paid ads tab, Settings → Billing and the Paid ads dashboard in Analytics appear.
The three steps
- We write and place the listings. Our recruiting team writes an ad for every job in the group and puts it on Indeed and ZipRecruiter.
- Applicants land in each job's pipeline. Every application arrives in the job's first stage. It's the same board as the rest of your candidates.
- One budget, pooled. Spend moves each week to whichever job and board is bringing in applicants. You can pause any time.
Why budgets are pooled
You don't set a budget for each job. You make a budget group: one weekly budget shared by one or more published jobs. Pooling lets spend follow whichever job is pulling in applicants, which a budget for each job can't do.
When you create a group, you choose how to split it:
- Maximize applications: spend shifts weekly toward the jobs and boards pulling in the most applicants. Best when you need volume fast.
- Keep it balanced: every job gets an even share, so no listing goes quiet. Best when each job has to fill.
What it costs
Budgets start at $100 a week. Paid ads are billed weekly for what your ads actually spent, never more than each group's weekly budget. You're billed whether or not anyone applies.
Community unlocks are separate and free, up to your plan's monthly allowance.
Note: New listings go live within one business day. Until then, the group says "Our team is writing the listings".
Who can fund paid ads
Everyone in your agency can see Job Ads. Only people with the Fund paid job ads permission can start, change, pause or stop a budget group. By default that's owners and admins. If you don't see New budget group, or it's greyed out, ask your agency owner.
