The Paid ads dashboard

What spend, clicks, applications, hires and the cost figures on Analytics → Paid ads mean for your paid job ads.

The Paid ads dashboard shows what your paid job ads are doing: what they cost and what they bring in, overall and job by job. Open Analytics in the top navigation, then the Paid ads tab.

The numbers update once a day. The line at the top says when they were last updated. If you see Paid ad reporting isn't switched on yet, there are no paid ad results to show for your agency yet.

Pick a date range

Choose Last 7 days, Last 30 days (the default), Last 90 days, This month or Last month. The rolling ranges end yesterday, because today's ad results aren't in until the next day.

Each tile compares with the same number of days just before your range, for example "+8% vs the previous 30 days".

The tiles

  • Spend: what your paid job ads cost in the range.
  • Clicks: how many times people clicked your ads.
  • Applications: applications that came from your ads.
  • Hires: hires credited to your ads. A hire is counted on the date the person applied, not the date you hired them.

Below them, three cost figures:

  • Cost per click: spend divided by clicks.
  • Cost per application: spend divided by applications.
  • Cost per hire: spend divided by hires. Underneath, it shows how many jobs were advertised in the range.

A dash (—) means there was nothing to divide by, for example no hires yet.

Tip: The Hiring dashboard's Cost per hire divides the same spend by every hire from any source, so the two figures usually differ.

Spend and applications by day

The chart shows each day in the range. Bars are spend and the line is applications. Hover over a day to see its exact numbers.

By job

Each of your jobs that has run paid ads, highest spend first, with Spend, Clicks, Apps, Hires, CPC (cost per click), CPA (cost per application) and CPH (cost per hire) for the range.

  • Ad live marks jobs that are in one of your budget groups now.
  • Job page opens the job's public posting.
  • Click a row to open the job's Sourcing tab on its paid ads results.

Export the numbers

When there are jobs listed, click Export CSV to download the By job list for the range you have picked. The file includes each job's status, spend, clicks, applications, hires and the three cost figures.
