Job tags and custom fields

Label jobs with your own tags, and fill in the extra job details your agency tracks.

Tags and custom fields both add information to a job, but they work differently. Tags are quick labels your team makes up as it goes. Custom fields are a fixed set of details that are the same on every job.

Job tags

Use tags to group and spot jobs, for example "Urgent", "Weekend coverage" or a client's name. Tags are internal. They never show on the posting.

Add a tag

  1. Open the job from All Jobs.
  2. Under Tags in the job header, click Add tag.
  3. Start typing in Find or create a tag. Pick an existing tag from the list, or click Create "…" to make a new one. Pressing Enter picks the tag if only one matches.
  4. Click Done.

To remove a tag, click the × on it.

Tags can be up to 40 characters long. Once your agency has used a tag, it's offered on every job, so the team uses the same words. Tags also show on the job's card in All Jobs.

Owners, admins and recruiters can change tags. Other roles see "Your role can see tags but not change them."

Job custom fields

Custom fields hold extra job details your agency tracks. Your CareCommunity admin decides which fields you have, and the same fields appear on every job. If your agency has none, you won't see this section.

Fill in custom fields

  • When you create a job: they're in the last step, Review, above the summary.
  • When you edit a job: they're in the Custom fields card on the Edit job page.

Custom fields save when you save the job. There's no separate save.

Some fields are marked Required, but you can still save a draft without them. Some fields are read-only. If a value isn't accepted, the field says "That value isn't accepted here." and the job won't save until you fix it.

To see or change a job's custom fields, click Edit job. They aren't shown on the job's page.

Note: Job custom fields are different from candidate custom fields, which you fill in on each candidate's record.
